We are five women from one Iowa farm family who love to find new ways to celebrate everyday life together. Join us as we plan family gatherings, try new recipes, take care of our homes, and educate our kids. We cherish our beautiful family farm, our time spent with our family, and most of all- our faith in Jesus Christ.
Hi there! I’m the mom of this crew and have spent most of my life on the farm. I am a devoted farm wife, mom, and grandma, and I take my position as the daughter of The King (the Lord Jesus) quite passionately. I’m proud to be a mid-west country girl and wish to share our rural life with you. As the seasons evolve, there’s always change on the farm. Won’t you join us as we work, play and hang out together?
I am a hybrid of a city girl gone country girl. I am a mother to two energetic and fun children, and wife to an ex-geologist gone cowboy. I truly did not know anything about farming until I met and later married the man of my dreams. During college, and soon after, I enjoyed the excitement of life in the city, and working downtown as an interior designer. Then we had the opportunity of going back to our rural roots and joining the family farm. I enjoy baking, arts and crafts, design, getting my hands dirty, and the scenic views of our surrounding Iowa countryside. I am eager to learn and to share with you as this heritage continues on the home front.
I was born and raised on this farm and I love the wide-open spaces. I love the animals, the sunsets and the changes each season brings. I especially love our tight-knit family!
An Iowa farm girl by birth, my interest in country life ended quickly after jumping bales of hay no longer qualified as excitement. I left the farm with grand visions of city life. My plans were foiled when I met and married my GQ farmer, moved back to the country, and (because I’m always up for a good challenge) had 3 kids in 3.5 years. You can take the girl out of the farm but you can’t take the farm out of the girl…and this girl came back. Jump in, if you dare, and explore my world of Sunday school, diapers and gravy.
I was raised on this beautiful, Iowa farm and loved it. When I grew up, I married my high school sweetheart and became a middle school social studies teacher. Twelve years and five kids later, I now fill my time with home schooling, baking and cooking, and enjoying my family. In my free time…. wait, what’s that? 🙂 I am privileged to live close enough to my childhood home that I get to share my family farm with our kids, It’s our favorite place in the world, and I invite you to share in it, too.
