Tuna Macaroni Bake

Super easy, super delicious hearty main dish that can be on the table in about 30 minutes. Always an enjoyable meal entree.

Ingredients

  • 2-3 C elbow macaroni, cooked and drained
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 2-4 oz Velveeta cheese, chunked (amount to your liking)
  • 2/3 can milk (use the soup can)
  • 1/4 C chopped onion
  • 1/8 C finely chopped green/red pepper (optional)
  • 1 C peas (optional)
  • 1 C day-old bread, cut in crouton-sized chunks
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 can tuna

Instructions

  • While cooking macaroni in a dutch oven or large pot, microwave these ingredients together in a separate bowl: soup, milk, cheese and onion for approximately 3-4 minutes or until cheese is completely melted.
    To the macaroni add cheese sauce, tuna, peas or peppers (optional) and cover the top with crouton-sized bread. Bake in 350 degree oven for 20 minutes.
    (I normally serve with a salad and hot Italian bread.
