Sugar-Free, Low-Fat French Toast

Ingredients

  • 4 egg whites (1/2 C liquid egg whites)
  • 2 T cinnamon
  • 4 T Gentle Sweet, Truvia, or Swerve
  • 1 ½ t vanilla or maple extract
  • t salt
  • 8 pieces sprouted bread Ezekial Bread is our favorite

Instructions

  • In a bowl, whisk together everything except the bread.
  • Spray a frying pan or griddle with cooking spray and heat to medium-high heat.
  • Dip each piece of bread in the egg mixture, letting it soak up the liquid.
  • Cook for a few minutes on each side until lightly toasted.
  • Serve with maple syrup (I buy sugar-free at Walmart).
