Sheet Pan Steak and Parmesan Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 2 Sirloin Steaks
  • 1.5 lbs potatoes of choice quartered (or cut to preferred size)
  • 2 Tbs olive oil
  • 1 Tbs garlic powder divided
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 - 1 tsp cayenne pepper pending your taste
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper more or less pending your heat preference
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup fresh Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees
  • Lightly spray a baking sheet with non stick cooking spray
  • In a mixing bowl combine olive oil, 1/2 garlic powder, Italian seasoning and salt and pepper. Toss potatoes in seasoning mixture and place on the sheet pan Bake potatoes in oven for 20-25 minutes, until starting to turn golden brown and crisp, tossing occasionally.
  • While potatoes are baking, prepare steak spice mix but combining other 1/2 Tbs garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper and crushed red pepper and salt and pepper as desired. Season steaks by rubbing seasoning mix on both sides of the steak.
  • When potatoes are ready, remove from oven and change oven temperature to broil mode. Place seasoned steaks on the other half of the baking sheet and place back in the oven until steak is browned and charred on edges, cooking each side apprx 5 minutes (for medium rare or increase time for more well done steaks). Watch to potatoes so they do not char, you can remove from pan and set aside until steak is cooked as desired.
  • When steaks cooked to desired doneness, remove from oven and sprinkle Parmesan over potatoes and enjoy!
