Minute Steak Subs

Quick, delicious and hearty sandwich you can have hot right out of the oven in 20 minutes!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 to 2 lb Minute Steak sliced very thin
  • 3 T olive oil
  • 1/2 red pepper sliced
  • 1/2 green pepper sliced
  • 1/2 medium-sized onion sliced thinly
  • 3 T Worcestershire Sauce
  • S and P to taste
  • Hoagie Buns sliced
  • 1/2 C mayonnaise
  • 6 slices Provolone cheese or mozzarella or Havarti

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.Fry thinly sliced meat in med high oil for approx 4-5 minutes. Add sauce and stir. Then add veggies, s and p and cook for approximately 4-5 minutes. In the meantime, spread subs with mayonnaise. Place buns on foil-lined baking sheet. Place 6 halves on sheet. Fill with meat mixture. Top with sliced cheese and place in the oven for 7-10 minutes, until cheese melts completely.
  • Serve hot.
  • Serving suggestions: chips, slaw and a dill spear.
