Churro Chex Mix With Caramels

Ingredients

  • 1 12 oz box of Rice Chex cereal
  • 1 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 Tbs cinnamon
  • 1 cup butter melted
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 Tbs vanilla extract
  • 9-11 oz Kraft caramel bits

Instructions

  • Preheat over 275 degrees. Line a large cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together sugar and cinnamon. Set aside. Pour Chex in a large bowl
  • In another bowl whisk together melted butter, brown sugar and vanilla. POur butter mixture over cereal and mix to coat
  • Sprinkle cinnamon mixture over ceral and toss again to coat. Transfer to parchment lined pan and spread into an even layer
  • Bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes
  • Remove from oven and let cool for apprx 15 minutes and then mix in the caramel bits.
  • Once completely cooled store in an airtight container for up to one week
