Irish Cabbage Wedges & Irish Rend Collective

Delish and easy dish that will tickle your taste buds. If you like cabbage you'll love the cheese sauce with bits of bacon drizzled over the top of this dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 head cabbage cut into 8 wedges. Cut out core.
  • 3 T butter
  • 2 T flour
  • 1 1/2 C milk
  • 6-8 oz Velveeta cheese
  • Salt and pepper
  • 4 slices cooked bacon chunked
  • 1/2 C Panko bread crumbs

Instructions

  • Cut up cabbage and place in a dutch oven. Cover with water and bring to boil. Cook 2-3 minutes.
  • In a 9x13 dish, place wedges in the dish in 2 rows.
  • In a skillet, melt butter, then add flour and whisk until smooth. Cook a couple minutes. Cut cheese into small cubes and add to sauce. Cover as it will melt quicker.
  • While cooking the sauce, microwave 4 slices of bacon. Then cut up into chunks.
  • Pour sauce over cabbage. Sprinkle with Panko bread crumbs and bacon. Bake for 30-40 min.
