Pecan Pie

- 1 pie crust (homemade or Pillsbury store bought works well)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 Tbs brown sugar
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 cup corn syrup
- ⅓ cup meted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 3 whole eggs beaten
- 1 heaping cup pecans (whole or chopped, your preference)
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
- Place your already made pie curst in your pie can and crimp the edges
- Mix the sugar, brown sugar, salt, corn syrup, butter, vanilla and eggs together in a bowl.
- Place your pecans into the bottom of the unbaked pie shell
- Pour the syrup mixture over the top of pecans.
- Cover the top of the pie and crust lightly with foil
- Bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and continue baking for 20 minutes be careful not to burn the crust or the pecans.
- The pie should jiggle just a bit in the middle but not too much. If it is overly jiggly, lightly cover with foil and bake and additional 20 minutes.
- Allow to cool for several hours and enjoy!
