Pecan Pie

Ingredients
  • 1 pie crust (homemade or Pillsbury store bought works well)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 Tbs brown sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • ⅓ cup meted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3 whole eggs beaten
  • 1 heaping cup pecans (whole or chopped, your preference)
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
  2. Place your already made pie curst in your pie can and crimp the edges
  3. Mix the sugar, brown sugar, salt, corn syrup, butter, vanilla and eggs together in a bowl.
  4. Place your pecans into the bottom of the unbaked pie shell
  5. Pour the syrup mixture over the top of pecans.
  6. Cover the top of the pie and crust lightly with foil
  7. Bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and continue baking for 20 minutes be careful not to burn the crust or the pecans.
  8. The pie should jiggle just a bit in the middle but not too much. If it is overly jiggly, lightly cover with foil and bake and additional 20 minutes.
  9. Allow to cool for several hours and enjoy!
