Homemade Apple Cinnamon Bread

Ingredients
  • ½ cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ⅔ cup white sugar
  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1½ cup all purpose flour
  • 1 1 /2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ cup of milk
  • 1 large apple, peeled and diced
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Grease and flour a 9x5" loaf pan, set aside
  3. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon together in a small bowl, set aside
  4. In a large bowl or stand mixer, combine white sugar and butter until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla and continue to beat until combined. Add flour and baking powder, once combined add the milk and mix well.
  5. Pour half the batter into the prepped loaf pan.
  6. Cover with half the diced apples and pat the apples into the batter with the back of the spoon.
  7. Sprinkle half the brown sugar/cinnamon mixture on top of apples.
  8. Pour remaining batter next.
  9. Top with remaining apples and remaining cinnamon/brown sugar mixture and pat topping with the back of a spoon
  10. Bake for approx. 50 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the middle comes gout clean.
  11. Cool in pan for 10 minutes and then transfer to a cooling rack
