I, just as much as the next person is ready for this election to be over. The constant bantering, the shaming and the arguing are amongst a few of many things I anxiously await to end. I almost always refrain from posting anything political on social media for fear of the backlash or comments from someone whom may differ in opinion from me. However, I came across this post from Max Lucado and I have decided to share it. It is a great reminder during this decisive time in our country. Please take the time to read the link below.
“…November 9th will bring. Another day of God’s perfect sovereignty. He will still be in charge. His throne will still be occupied. He will still manage the affairs of the world. Never before has his providence depended on a king, president or ruler. And it won’t on November 9, 2016. ‘The Lord can control a king’s mind as he controls a river; he can direct it as he pleases’ (Proverbs 21:1)”
“Understanding God’s sovereignty over the nations opens the door to peace. When we realize that God influences the hearts of all rulers, we can then choose to pray for them rather then fret them. Rather than wring our hands we bend our knee, we select prayer over despair.”
Come November 9th, I will be on bended knee praying for the leader of our nation….regardless of the outcome. Whether you are elated by the outcome, disappointed by the outcome or even neutral, please considering joining me in prayer for not only the President of this great country, but also its future.
In everything God works for the good of those who love him. – Romans 8:28
