Fake It- Don't Make It- Chocolate Croissants

Ingredients
  • 1 can (8 oz) Pillsbury™ refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 2 T powdered sugar
Instructions
  1. Heat oven to 350F degrees. Line a baking sheet parchment paper or spray with cooking spray.
  2. Separate crescent roll dough into 8 triangles on the baking sheet.
  3. Sprinkle about 1 Tablespoon of chocolate chips on top of each triangle.
  4. Press chips down lightly to get them to stick.
  5. Reserve remaining chocolate chips.
  6. Roll up, starting from wide end and rolling to opposite point.
  7. Brush the croissants lightly with beaten egg.
  8. Bake about 12 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Remove from cookie sheet and allow to cool for 5 minutes.
  10. Melt the remaining chocolate in the microwave in 10 second increments, stirring after each increment.
  11. Using a squirt bottle or a spoon, drizzle the melted chocolate over croissants.
  12. Using a sifter, lightly dust powdered sugar over the croissants and serve warm.
